So far, I’ve noticed that the cough usually starts within an hour of me covering up with the blanket. It’s not always immediately after I put it on, but it’s definitely related. The severity of the cough also seems to depend on how long I’ve been using the blanket. If I use it for a few nights in a row, the cough gets worse each time.
I’ve also noticed that the cough is affecting my sleep. I used to be able to sleep through the night without any problems, but now I find myself waking up multiple times a night, coughing and feeling uncomfortable. This is definitely not ideal for my health or for my quality of life.
So what am I going to do about this? Well, first of all, I’m going to try to get a new blanket. Maybe there’s something in the old one that’s causing the cough or that’s just too old and has become a source of allergens for me. By getting a new one, I might be able to eliminate the problem altogether.
If that doesn’t work, I might have to resort to using my old blanket only on colder nights or in colder parts of the house where I won’t be able to feel it as much against my skin. Or maybe I’ll just have to accept that I can’t use my old blanket anymore and find some other way to keep warm at night.
Overall, though, this experience has definitely made me more aware of my body and of how it reacts to certain things like this old duck feather blanket. It’s important to take care of yourself and to be mindful of how you react to things in your environment so that you can make sure you’re always doing what’s best for your health and well-being.
