Title: Removing the Duck Feather Bed Covers Strong Fishy Smell
The duck feather bed covers in my bedroom have a strong fishy smell that I cannot bear. It is so unpleasant that I often feel dizzy and nauseated when I am in my room. I have tried to wash them several times, but the smell persists. I have also tried to air them out, but that does not help either. I am at my wits' end as to how to remove the smell. It is affecting my quality of life and I cannot live like this anymore. I am looking for a solution to this problem and I hope someone can help me.
I have a duck feather bed cover that I purchased a while ago, and it has a strong fishy smell that I cannot seem to get rid of. I have tried washing it multiple times, but the smell persists. I also tried using fabric softener and other cleaning products, but nothing seems to work.
The duck feather bed cover is very comfortable and warm, but the smell is so strong that it affects the quality of my sleep. I have become so accustomed to the smell that I can even smell it when I am not in the same room as the bed. It is truly distressing.
I have done some research on how to remove the smell of duck feather bed covers, and I have found some solutions that people have suggested. One common suggestion is to soak the bed cover in vinegar for several hours, then wash it as usual. Another suggestion is to use baking soda to absorb the smell.
I have decided to try these solutions and see if they work for me. I will update this post with my results.
UPDATE: I soaked my bed cover in vinegar for several hours, then washed it as usual. The smell was noticeably reduced, but it was still there. I then tried using baking soda to absorb the smell, but that didn't seem to help either.
I am beginning to think that the smell might be permanent, which is really disappointing. I have spent so much time and effort trying to get rid of the smell, but it just won't go away.
If anyone has any other suggestions or solutions, please let me know. I would really appreciate any help I can get on this issue.
